Hard to put this one down. Under the Canopy is a marvellous page turner that takes the reader on a terrifying chase into the darkness. Tense and unpredictable, you get swept along in the suspense. Worth the read for any fan of thrilling, scary fiction, very glad I took a chance on reading this one!Product details

Very good read
Kept me on the edge,waiting to see what was coming next. I just wanted to dive in to the book and help them,some very heart wrenching moments. Can't wait to see what comes next!
Story line is as purported. Interesting material.
However, there were many credibility issues - why would these men go to save a friend without first contacting the authorities (those who could have run this operation more efficiently and successfully). That they would risk their friend's life by going out on their own is beyond me...and they took no guns, tracker, or other weapons..that is not believable to me.
I somehow missed the locale and time period (my error)...was it England? Perhaps it was a place where firearms are not allowed - even more reason to get the authorities involved.
They told no one where they were going. Up the creek (so to speak) if they didn't return in a timely manner.
In my opinion, these guys were stupid, egotistical, and incapable of staying on-task. That is, however the author's right to create the characters as seen fit (I cannot fault the story for this). Nonetheless, I became tired of following their behavior, et al.
Overall, the story was interesting enough for me to finish, but I would not recommend it to a friend.
It was good but the beast in the story was not that scary and the friend s were to wimpy
It was an interesting novel about a beast in the English countryside. It kept my interest, but I don't particularly care for English authors that overstate the feelings and situations. It is a good read, should you enjoy English style literature.
This adventure took me right along with it the whole time. I love this story line, the characters, the suspense, confusion, support. All of it. This was such a great read.
The story started off with an incredible chase scene; so good I immediately wanted to read it again. But once you have a narrow escape from a beast why would you come back without some kind of firearm?
